NAIDOC Cup 2014

Our 4th Annual NAIDOC Cup, held at Hunter Fields, Emu Plains on Friday 20th June 2014, was our biggest one to date. A partnership between NCNS and Medicare Local’s “Closing The Gap” team, we had 12 schools from across the Penrith LGA – over 600 students, teachers and community joined in to help us celebrate!

Aboriginal students invited their friends to come together to compete for the highly regarded NAIDOC Cup trophies in the Oz Tag and Netball competitions, as well as to participate in Aboriginal cultural activities throughout the day.

It was a fantastic day, despite a little rain – it didn’t deter from everyone enjoying the day. Great sportsmanship was evident and those participating in TIG and Culture experiences had fun while learning something new alongside their friends.
