Our organisation has been working in the community for decades and like most Neighbourhood Centres, we are the starting point or entry point for many different types of community assistance. We are looking for a new person to handle our day-to-day management needs, who has the following experience

  • Managing a team of at least 20 people
  • Managing the day-to-day operations for an entire organisation
  • Work in a role where your direct report was to the Board

  • Budgeting and planning in collaboration with a Chief Financial Officer or similar role
  • Ensuring compliance with protocols and policies for programs that deal with children or other vulnerable persons
  • An appropriate University qualification, such as a Bachelor of Commerce or a Bachelor of Education or similar qualifications
  • Experience working, as a paid employee or volunteer, in a social enterprise

In order to achieve a job at the top of the pay scale the applicant would need the following:

  • Proven success applying for government grants
  • Experience in Event Management, primarily by enabling and training staff to run it themselves, and documenting the process so that it is repeatable by others
  • Previous work in an environment that is dependent upon government grants
  • Previously held a position on a Board for an organisation of a similar size
  • Experience with supporting Aboriginal cultural requirements within an organisation

The role is an on site role across a number of different Neighbourhood Centres and so the successful applicant will need a drivers license and motor vehicle, though we are willing to be flexible in relation to when the hours are worked. The successful applicant will need a current WWCC number.

We encourage Aboriginal persons, persons living with a disability, and people with a variety of lived experiences to apply for this role.
